The fine print, in plain English

Acceptable Use Policy

Effective July 10, 2026

PagePlug hosts websites for real businesses — including businesses in regulated industries. This policy draws the bright lines: what can never be published, what’s welcome, and exactly what happens when something crosses a line.

1. Zero tolerance

Some content is removed immediately, without warning, and reported to the authorities where the law requires or allows it:

  • Any sexual content involving minors. Immediate removal, account termination, and reporting to the relevant authorities.
  • Human trafficking or exploitation, including solicitation.
  • Credible incitement of violence or terrorism.

2. Prohibited on any site

  • Fraud and impersonation: phishing, scams, fake businesses, or impersonating a person or company you don’t represent.
  • Malware: distributing or linking to malicious software.
  • Stolen work: content that infringes someone else’s copyright, trademark, or other rights — including photos and reviews you don’t have permission to use.
  • Harassment and hate: content that harasses, threatens, or promotes hatred against people.
  • Illegal goods or services — anything unlawful to sell or promote where you operate — and pornographic content or real graphic violence.
  • Deception: fabricated reviews, credentials, or claims presented as fact.

3. Regulated businesses are welcome

A tattoo studio, a bar or brewery, a licensed dispensary, a firearms dealer, a med spa — these are legal businesses, and they’re welcome here. Our automated screening is deliberately built not to flag a business for merely being regulated. The deal is: you are responsible for complying with the laws, licensing, and advertising rules of your industry and location (age gates, health claims, regional restrictions, and so on). We host the site; the regulatory compliance of the business is yours.

4. Don't abuse the platform itself

  • Build sites for real businesses you represent — PagePlug isn’t a file host, an image dump, or a link farm.
  • No probing, overloading, or trying to break our systems or other customers’ sites.
  • No evading rate limits, usage caps, or a suspension by making new accounts.
  • No spam sites, and no reselling raw access to our infrastructure.

5. How enforcement actually works

Enforcement here isn’t a vague threat — it’s built into the product:

  • At build time: every generated site is screened automatically before it’s saved. A blocked build is stopped before anything is published, and you’re told at build time — not after you’ve paid to deploy.
  • At edit and publish time: every edit and every publish is screened again, and every uploaded image is screened before it’s stored.
  • Human review: the automated screen is deliberately narrow, so people — not just software — review reports and edge cases.
  • Takedowns stick: a site removed for violating this policy stays offline even if its billing renews. It comes back only when the issue is resolved.
  • Consequences scale: minor issues get a warning and a chance to fix; serious or repeated violations mean takedown or account termination; illegal content is reported to the authorities.

If your site was taken down and you believe that’s wrong, email info@pageplug.ai — appeals are read by a person.

6. Report a site

If a website hosted by PagePlug violates this policy, email info@pageplug.ai with the site’s address and what you found. Reports are reviewed promptly, urgent categories first. See also our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
